On Saturday, December 10th, 2016, from 9 AM- 1 PM, West Broad Farmers Market is hosting its annual End-of-season Holiday Craft Festival. This annual event celebrates local artisans, craft makers, and culinary enthusiasts from Athens-Clarke county and surrounding neighborhoods while also commemorating the last market of the year. West Broad wants to encourage the community to buy local this holiday season.
The festival will feature local vendors, kids’ activities, cooking demonstrations, live music from local musicians, gift giveaways, horseback riding, a collard greens cook off, turkey raffle, an apple pie contest, book signing by writer and former young urban farmer Willie Craddick Jr. and more.
The West Broad Farmers Market is a community-driven, education-oriented farmers market that supports local economic development and community wellness. The goals of the West Broad Farmers Market are to increase access to healthy food, provide education about health and nutrition, and increase economic opportunities for community members.
