People of Hope is working to build the first permanently-affordable, resident-controlled manufactured housing community in Georgia. People of Hope was founded by 43 families of the former Garden Springs Mobile Home Park when the land beneath their mobile homes was sold to build a luxury apartment complex. At the request of the People of Hope, the Athens Land Trust holds the title to the property to ensure its permanently affordability.
